this is my interpretation of The War Of The Worlds painted in photoshop 7Cheers for looking
P.S just in case you can't tell, that is steam in the river and not a splash.

Great work on the details, and the smokey stuff..
I like the girl in the water too, interesting monster ..
The movie of this film I always found to be a much terrifying experience to actually bare with, and I think you have captured some of that emotion in the picture - the atmosphere.
I like your background also. I like how you always find you can put more and more things in without cluttering the image.
For instance, you have birds, the center creature, fellow background creatures

Now you must do a drawing of a monster Osprey swooping down after a fish! I have many Osprey photos which you would be welcome to use if you ever decide to do such a project.

When I scrolled down this page, I found the lower half of the image, (the kid with that nasty pile of something, plus the dark background) is really scary,
while the upper half, because the robot is white and is so.... you ^^, plus blue sky, it acually look kinda innocent. Very contrast, like they're from different paintings
